Two youths injured while using crosswalk

The Juneau Police Department responded after two pedestrians were hit by a vehicle Sunday at 3:05 p.m. in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway. The investigation revealed the driver of a 2005 Honda Civic failed to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk, striking two local minor females, both age 15. The driver of the Honda, a 48 year old Juneau man, was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

The youths were transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
