Update: Police find stolen vehicle

Police found a vehicle that had been previously reported stolen Monday, according to a release from the Juneau Police Department.

JPD officers found a silver 2011 Honda Pilot with Alaska license plate No. GBX886 at about 4:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of Wood Duck Avenue, the release states. A woman reported the vehicle stolen at about noon on Monday from a residence in the 8100 block of Thunder Street.

Car stolen NOT joy riding

Wow my SUV was stolen then wrecked, when calling 911 and begging the police to come help me find it /report this, then they finally showed up and found it wreck, they said it was joy riders. Wouldnt leave me a report or nothing. SO this person is pretty lucky to have had the police's help A-S-A-P!!Wonder who they are and what part they play in the JPD to have had this happen?? Hmmmmmm...

The woman who called the cops reported" described additional behavior by the suspect and JPD is attempting to confirm those details prior to release to the public.

along with the report stating "Residents are asked to call JPD if the vehicle is located but advised not to approach the vehicle or any occupants as they may be assaultive."

From what I have heard is this was a auto theft at gun point. So let me just say I am glad no one was harmed if that is true and that sheds some light on why the police are on this one ASAP more then on what you describe with your incident.
