Looks like Terry Allen needs to hit the gym or find a good desk to rest that belly behind.
JRC
Is he securing the truck or resting on it?
Cop Jokes
Aside from the failed cop joke attempts. I'm glad their injuries aren't fatal. I was hit by a drunk driver on this very corner.
Cause?
The slick road didn't cause this crash - poor driving skills and poor judgement did!
disheartening
God Bless our local Police/Fire&Rescue! They will secure your over-turned vehicle, and drag you out of your home in flames in the middle of the night; no matter what the weather, they show up for us, just a phone call away. It is disheartening to read people that should be honorably representing Alaska's Capital City; instead tearing down the Peace Officers who are here to protect us around the clock. How embarassing. People who talk about 1st Responders with such disrespect shouldn't bother clogging phone lines calling 911 when they themselves have an emergency...but even so; they will. And even so; they will be rescued.
So true, juno, so true! It
So true, juno, so true! It would be something if these negative folks would post personal body shots so we could critique them.
Thank you Officer Terry and Capital City Rescue
I find it disgusting that people would take cheap personal shots against first responders. When these folks show up to save you in an emergency you'll feel like the fools that you are. Only insecure cowards try to tear other people down like that.
I hope the accident victims are ok and thanks again to the rescue team.
Agreed Juno
Agreed Juno!!!!!
At least he is out their helping the community what are the bloggers doing? Sitting on their probably fat behinds bashing him!
Trolls...
You people criticizing Terry's weight, do realize he's wearing a uniform, Kevlar vest, and safety vest? Anyone's size would be distorted with all that on!
But FairyDogMother....
unless he's sportin' a Santa vest under all that, I gotta go with Fbomb on this one.
What is protocol for a single vehicle rolled on its side, with possible injuries? Was SWAT called in too?
Stick to your day job
I agree with positive feedback about the 1st responders! They are doing a great job.
As for the cop/heavy weight jokes posts, stick to your day job.
Thankfully we have first
Thankfully we have first responders to help aid people who don't know how to drive their rigs. To those rude, disrespectful morons, you may one day need Officer Allen to save your sorry ass and you know what? He would be there for you. That says a lot more for the kind of person Officer Allen is then any of you are.
Cause??
I have to disagree with gmram120... the slick roads most certainly were to blame! The city or state, depending on the jurisdiction this particular stretch of road falls under, should be ashamed of themselves for the deplorable conditions drivers had to face out there yesterday! Where are the sand/salt/gravel trucks? I'm astonished at the lack of public outrage. I happen to drive for a living and have lived in several states with similar or worse winter conditions, and they've all taken better care of the roads than this place!
they are ok
I am amazed by the ignorance of a couple of these comments. Thankfully the people are ok, probably because the truck took most of the crash. But for someone to be calling the driver a moron right after he totaled his truck because of extremely poor driving conditions is just rude and unnecessary.
Professional drivers
douglasdude...I stand by my comment, and would add that some of the "professional drivers" around here are as bad as anyone when it comes to a lack of judgement or skill. Of course that doesn't include you so don't take it personal!
As you can see in the photo
As you can see in the photo this ford have a lot of damages outside and inside such as ford fuel pump, the bumper, the doors, side mirrors etc.. I think the total damage of it will be expensive though. Thanks to some aftermarkets out there it can be lessen because they sell cheap replacement parts there. It's a bad thing that this happened though, we must be really careful when driving in slick roads.
I like a good cop joke as
I like a good cop joke as much as anybody. However, I'm glad we have such a great bunch of first responders here in Juneau. In my dealings with police and fire here in Juneau in recent years I have been highly impressed with the professionalism demonstrated.
