The Juneau School District Board of Education evaluated Superintendent Glenn Gelbrich in executive session Tuesday night, recommending a one-year extension to his contract. Board chairwoman Sally Saddler said there will be no financial increase for his performance, but not because of a lack of quality. Saddler said the lack of a raise or bonus is because of the financial situation the district is in. Approval of the evaluation and contract extension is expected to take place at February’s board meeting.
