The Juneau School District and Juneau Education Support Staff commenced negotiations on Tuesday. The JESS bargaining unit is the district’s second-largest employee association, representing more than 300 of its 780 staff members. JESS is a local affiliate of the Alaska Public Employee Association and American Federation of Teachers.
The current three-year agreement between JSD and JESS expires on June 30, 2012.
