Winds gusting up to 60 mph may blow through downtown Juneau and across south Douglas Island from noon until 9 p.m. Sunday, according to a release from the National Weather service.
The winds are expected to be strongest late Sunday afternoon, and diminish Sunday evening, the release states. Wind speeds will be sustained between 30-40 mph. Winds of that speed can cause damage to buildings, boats and property, the release states.
