High wind warning in Juneau calls for 75 mph gusts

A high wind warning is in effect for parts of the City and Borough of Juneau, as the National Weather Service is predicting gusts of wind of up to 75 mph by early Friday morning.

Gusts of wind of up to 60 mph may hit Thursday night, though the strongest winds are expected Friday.

The warning covers downtown, Douglas and northern Admiralty Island. It will remain in effect until 5 a.m. Saturday.
