Winter storm warning through 9 a.m. Sunday

Snow heaviest overnight

Juneau Empire Staff Report

A winter storm warning is in effect until 9 am Sunday, according to the National Weather Service

Look for snow from 11 to 17 inches between tonight and Sunday morning with snow heaviest overnight.

Forecasters say snowfall rates may exceed 1 inch per hour.

Travel may be difficult and blowing snow will occur in windy locations.

blowing snow will occur in windy locations. And in other areas, it won't.
