The City and Borough of Juneau Assembly won't decide who will be the next city manager until Monday.

The Assembly met in executive session on Saturday for five 1/2 hours. It interviewed each candidate and discussed things like pay packages and other related considerations.

Mayor Bruce Botelho said the Assembly will have another executive session at Monday's regular meeting and will take action formally in public session. He said that Saturday's session there was discussion but the Assembly did not make decisions.

Candidates are Deputy City Manager Kim Kiefer and Norman "Buddy" Custard, who is in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Monday’s meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Assembly Chambers.
