Correction: Jose Carranza

An article that appeared on page A1 of the Jan. 19 Empire contained an inaccurate amount of cocaine possessed by Jose Carranza. Prosecutors alleged the packages of cocaine possessed by Jose and his brother Roberto contained a combined 300 grams of cocaine. Defense attorney Eric Hedland stated the amount of cocaine involved was 200 grams, not 300 and his client, Jose, possessed only 100 grams of cocaine. Assistant District Attorney Angie Kemp disputed neither of Hedland’s claims.
