Update: AEL&P restored power to all customers by 9:45 p.m., utility spokeswoman Debbie Ferreira said.
A transmission fault has left Alaska Electric Light & Power customers in the Auke Bay and Lena Point areas, along with users out the road, without power, a spokeswoman for the utility said Sunday night.
Crews are working to resolve the issue, said Debbie Ferreira, a spokeswoman for AEL&P, at about 9 p.m. Sunday. She estimated the repairs would be completed within 1 1/2 hours. She also estimated about 2,000 customers are without power during the outage.
