Wells Fargo’s 2011 Alaska Teacher of the Year award in Juneau went to Glacier Valley Elementary School music teacher Lorrie Heagy, who accepted a $1,000 donation to the school and a plush pony from Wells Fargo Juneau Business Banking Manager Karen West and Downtown Juneau Store Manager Tyler Davis during a ceremony on Monday at the campus. Wells Fargo is presenting the school with $1,000 to support its arts programs, and an oversized plush pony that was displayed in Wells Fargo stores during the holidays. Heagy was featured on Wells Fargo ATMs across Alaska with a congratulatory message from October 2011 through Jan. 3.
