Motor vehicle crash

• At 3:46 p.m. Sunday, a vehicle driven by a 65-year-old man was struck by a vehicle driven by a 61-year-old woman in the 900 block of Egan Drive. The woman was cited for failure to yield when turning left. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The vehicles sustained an estimated $10,000 in combined damage.

Service

• At 11:49 a.m. Monday, a 20-day domestic violence order was served on a 52-year-old man.

Theft

• At 9:56 p.m. Sunday, Jacob Herbert Scanlon, 22, was cited for larceny in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 9 a.m. Monday, a 34-year-old man reported $1,900 cash was stolen from his vehicle in the 4400 block of Kanata Street at some point during the previous night.

This day in Juneau history: Feb. 19

On Feb. 19, 1987, Gov. Steve Cowper and the Alaska Legislature formed a budget plan for the upcoming year. The House Finance Committee passed a bill giving Gov. Cowper permission to spend the $428 million reserve fund, and representatives described meetings with Gov. Cowper “wonderful”.
