Sen. Dennis Egan tells a family story while attending a reception for his donation of his mother's papers and photographs to the Alaska Historical Collections on Tuesday. The collection documents many of the activities of Governor William Egan and First Lady Neva Egan throughout their years of public service, from the Valdez City Council and Mayor's Office, through the Territorial Legislature, the Statehood Delegation and US Senate, to the Office of Governor of Alaska and their subsequent contributions to the political and cultural landscape of Alaska and the United States.
