MV Columbia delayed into Skagway, arriving today in Juneau

The MV Columbia experienced a mechanical delay this week and is expected to be repaired today in Juneau.

According to a release from the Alaska Marine Highways System the ferry departed Skagway at 11:30 p.m. yesterday for Haines and arrived at 5 a.m. today in Juneau. AMHS said, technicians will meet the vessel in Juneau today to complete repairs.

Updates will be available Tuesday, the state agency said, after technicians have boarded the vessel and assessed the situation.

AMHS staff will contact affected passengers.
