Bartlett Regional Hospital announces new directors

Bartlett Regional Hospital has selected Jennifer J. Brown as the new director of Bartlett’s Mental Health Unit, effective May 1. In addition, Lawrence G. Leet has been named director of pharmacy, effective May 14.

Brown joins Bartlett from Denver Health in Denver, where she was the nurse manager for their Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. Her previous experience includes work at the Lincoln Regional Center in Lincoln, Neb., where she served as the registered nurse supervisor, and as agency RN for Star-Med, also in Lincoln. Brown graduated from Union College in Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in nursing and an Associate of Science in business administration. She received her Master of Science in nursing from Phoenix University.

Leet most recently served as clinical pharmacist for Power Med, Inc. He has also served as pharmacy director at Wallowa Memorial Hospital, Klickitat Valley Hospital, Kittitas Valley Hospital, Ketchikan General Hospital, and Burnett General Hospital in Grantsburg, Mich. Leet graduated from Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy and holds a Master of Science in comparative physiology from Michigan State University.

Brown replaces Bartlett's interim director of the Mental Health Unit, Sandra Rup. Leet takes over for Interim Director of Pharmacy Ursula Iha, who administered the department following the departure of Janice Watts at the end of 2011.
