A 19-year-old Haines man pleaded not guilty to multiple charges of sex abuse of a minor Thursday in Juneau Superior Court.
Judge Louis Menendez scheduled a jury trial for Tyler J. Thomas for the end of July.
Thomas’ attorney Julie Willoughby said the case would be tried in Haines.
Thomas was indicted earlier this month on two counts of second-degree sex abuse of a minor and one count of third-degree sex abuse of a minor. Those are class ‘B’ and ‘C’ felonies, respectively, that can carry up to 10 or five years in prison, respectively.
