2012 Blessing of the Fleet set for May 5

Tim Tiffany, an employee of Quiring Monuments of Seattle, sandblasts five new names to the Alaska Fishermen's Memorial on Monday.

A speech from Gov. Sean Parnell will highlight activities surrounding the annual Blessing of the Fleet, which is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. May 5 at the Alaska Commercial Fishermen’s Memorial.

Five names are being added to the memorial this year: Shea Hunter Walling, Bob Pasquan, Bill Razpotnik, Bruce Freitag and John Pugh Jr.
