Police investigating deceased person report downtown

Police responded to a report of a deceased person at the Mendenhall Tower Apartment Homes building downtown, Friday afternoon.

Foul play is not suspected, said Juneau Police Department spokeswoman Cindee Brown-Mills.

The person’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Brown-Mills said the police received the call a little after 1 p.m.

Police remain on scene, and are still investigating.
