Customers of the Rookery Café and Sprazzo are now allowed to legally toast their Assembly for its approval of the restaurants’ liquor licenses.
Haydar Suyun attended the City and Borough of Juneau Assembly meeting on Monday, to shepherd the transfer of a liquor license to his new pizzeria, Sprazzo. He did not testify as no objection to his license was made.
The restaurant, located on Franklin St., opened in early March. It has so far allowed customers to supply their own wine.
The license is to be transferred from Talisman, LLC which does business as “245” and is located on Marine Way. Talisman LLC received the license from the Oriental Express Restaurant in 2011, according to city records.
Travis Smith and Jason Shima, owners of Midnight Ninja Ventures Inc., also received Assembly approval for a new restaurant liquor license for their Rookery Café, located on Seward Street. For more information visit www.therookerycafe.com.
