Troopers investigate 2 assaults at Lemon Creek

A pair of assaults occurred on recent consecutive days at Lemon Creek Correctional Center, according to a release from the Alaska State Troopers.

The first involved two inmates assaulting a third prisoner in the center’s gymnasium on Wednesday, the release states. The second attack was a two-on-two assault Thursday, AST stated.

All three victims received non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital for care, the release states.

Assault charges will be filed with the District Attorney’s Office in both cases, the release states.
