William Comer, one of the three final candidates to fill Bartlett Regional Hospital’s chief executive officer position, has dropped out of the competition.
Comer is the senior vice president of operations for Nueterra Healthcare’s Hospital Division in Kansas City, Kan. His decision was made public Thursday.
Bartlett spokesperson, Jim Strader said Comer asked the hospital to not comment on his decision to withdraw.
Two candidates remain.
Christine Harff currently serves as CEO of Sanford Medical Center in Thief River Falls, Minn. Elizabeth Woodyard is the CEO of Petersburg Medical Center in Petersburg.
Strader said Bartlett plans to continue with its original schedule for Thursday, today and Saturday.
“There might be some adjustments on the fly,” Strader said. The hospital scheduled its public meeting and assessment center times “pretty close for three (candidates).”
Candidate assessments are scheduled for 8:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday in the Bartlett boardroom and are open to the public. Candidates then make public presentations from 3:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday in the hospital’s first floor training room. A meet the candidates event is set for 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in Bartlett’s Bob Valliant Administration Building.
Adjustments to the schedule will be posted at the hospital, Jim Strader said.
