Goldbelt picks 3 for board

Goldbelt, Inc., re-elected two people to its board of directors and chose one newcomer at its annual meeting June 2 in Juneau.

Richard A. Beasley will replace Andrea Cadiente-Laiti, according to a release from the Juneau-based urban Native corporation. Katherine Eldemar and Ben Coronell will remain on the board after being returned to their seats by Goldbelt’s shareholders.

Following the elections, the board selected officers. Karen A. Taug will remain as chairwoman, while Eldemar will become vice chairwoman. Trudy Skan will retain her post as corporate secretary, and Coronell will serve as treasurer.

The board retained all the executive officers which run Goldbelt’s day-to-day operations.

Goldbelt has more than 3,400 shareholders, the release states.
