Police and Fire calls for July 18, 2012



• Police assisted another agency Monday at 2:51 p.m. in the Juneau area.

• Police assisted another agency Monday at the 3600 block of Amalga Street Monday at 3:33 p.m.

Domestic violence

• A suicidal 34-year-old man was arrested at 12:34 a.m. Tuesday in the Juneau area for misconduct involving weapons and criminal mischief domestic violence and was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Police say alcohol was a factor.

• A 31-year-old man was arrested in the Juneau area for assault/domestic violence. He was taken to LCCC. Police say alcohol was a factor.

• Police responded to a report of possible vandalism and domestic violence in the Juneau Area Tuesday at 6:40 a.m.

Driving without a license

• Rudy John Willard, 30, was cited Monday at 6:03 a.m. for driving without a license and his vehicle was impounded.

Fire and rescue calls

• At 8:41 a.m. Monday a female patient n Glacier Highway declined transport.

• At 10:23 a.m. Monday a man on Mendenhall Mall Road required advanced life support and was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital.

• At 12:16 p.m. Monday it was reported that a woman died in her sleep on Northland Drive.

• Firefighters advised someone to have their fire burn hotter after a investigating a burn complaint. No location was given.

•A fire alarm on Twelfth Street Monday at 12:42 p.m. was the result of burnt food.

• At 12:57 p.m. a woman requiring advanced life support was taken to the hospital.

• A male was taken to the hospital from Hospital Drive.

Firefighters found unauthorized items at 4:18 p.m. Monday in a burn pile with a valid permit and the pile was extinguished.

• A male assault victim was treated and released to the Juneau Police Department at 5:37 p.m. on Franklin Street.

On Monday at 8:22 p.m. a man was moved from Hospital Drive to the hospital facility, and advanced life support was provided.

Found property

• An ID card, bus pass and Quest card were turned in at police headquarters for safekeeping.


• A 62-year-old man reported Monday at 3:52 p.m. a red gas tank valued between $75 and $100 was stolen from the 16200 block of Point Lena Way.

• A 71-year-old woman reported Monday at 4:56 p.m. that her handbag was stolen on the 100 block of Main Street.

• At 9:14 p.m. Monday 43-year-old woman reported the theft of several items from a storage unit on Salmon Creek Lane.

• At 9:39 p.m. Monday a 20-year-old man reported theft of several items from his locked vehicle in the 15900 block of Glacier Highway.
