Police calls from Aug. 1, 2012

Domestic violence assault

• At 8:28 a.m. Tuesday, a 55-year-old woman reported a 60-year-old man assaulted her and broke her cell phone. Alcohol was involved.

Criminal mischief

• At 12:56 p.m. Monday, Jesse Harrol Boone, 29, was arrested for criminal mischief and false information. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Alcohol was involved.


• At 2:45 p.m. Monday, the Juneau Police Department investigated the death of a 50-year-old woman in the 5800 block of Glacier Highway. Death is not considered suspicious. Next of kin has been notified.

Drug activity

• At 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, JPD conducted a confidential drug investigation.

False statement

• On Thursday, Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Earnest L. Ecker, 40, of Juneau, for obtaining a 2010 residence hunting license when he did not meet Alaska residency requirements.

• On Saturday, Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Kara Beidler, 32, for obtaining a resident 2010 sport fish license when she did not meet Alaska’s residency requirements at the time.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 4:29 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash in the 8800 block of Egan Drive. The first vehicle was a 2005 Dodge Neon driven by a 22-year-old woman, and damage was estimated at $5,000. The second vehicle was a 2001 Honda Accord driven by a 79-year-old woman, and damage was estimated at $1,500. The driver of the first vehicle was cited for failure to exercise due care.

• At 6:30 p.m. Monday, a 44-year-old woman reported her Dodge Ram was struck in a hit-and-run accident in the 5000 block of Douglas Highway.


• At 3:48 p.m. Monday, a 16-year-old girl was investigated for shoplifting in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 2:40 p.m. Monday, a 53-year-old man reported the theft of climbing equipment valued at $350 in the 8400 block of Steep Place.

• At 5:42 p.m. Monday, a 27-year-old woman reported the rear license plate on her vehicle stolen in the 1200 block of Salmon Creek Lane.

• At 6:52 p.m. Monday, a 24-year-old woman reported speakers stolen from her unlocked vehicle in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 7:28 p.m. Monday, Delila Ann Wigg, 35, was arrested for larceny in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway, and she was taken to LCCC.

• At 11:47 a.m. Tuesday, a 28-year-old woman reported her vehicle broken into and a purse, wallet, headphones and stereo stolen in the 11500 block of Glacier Highway.


• At 12:27 p.m. Monday, a 41-year-old woman reported tires slashed on a vehicle in the 300 block of Whittier Street.

• At 9:05 a.m. Tuesday, a 28-year-old man reported vandalism to a ball field in the 1600 block of Renninger Street.
