Kayak theft is JPD Crime of the Week

The Juneau Police Department Crime of the Week for Aug. 3 is in reference to a kayak theft.

 

Sgt. Paul Hatch said in a release that on July 10, a resident from the area of Fritz Cove/ Fox Farm Trail notified JPD of the theft of his kayak.

The Northwest Discovery kayak, with a blue top and white bottom, was stowed inside his car port and was stolen sometime over the past few months.

The release states it is made of fiberglass and has a black rubberized bow cover, and it is valued at about $750.

Anyone with information regarding this or any other crime is encouraged to log onto the Juneau Crime Line at juneaucrimeline.com and report the tip. Tipsters are guaranteed anonymity and can be rewarded.
