Police & Fire for Friday, Aug. 10, 2012

Assist

• At 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department assisted another agency in the Juneau area.

Burglary

• At 7:19 a.m. Thursday, a 75-year-old woman reported a business was burglarized in the 11900 block of Glacier Highway. Investigation continues.

Disturbance

• At 3:03 p.m. Wednesday, Anthony Agnes, 23, was arrested in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive on a no bail JPD warrant for failure to report to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. He was taken to LCCC. Alcohol was involved.

Driving without a license

• At 7:46 p.m. Wednesday, Michael Donald Gallo Jr., 40, was cited during a traffic stop for driving without a license in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway. His vehicle was impounded.

Drunken driving

• At 2:29 a.m. Thursday, Emmanuel Soto Roman, 28, was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle crash in the 8800 block of Egan Drive. He was taken to LCCC, and his vehicle was impounded.

Failure to record personal use taken salmon

• On Saturday, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on board the PV Sentry cited David L. Love, 48, of Juneau, and Albin P. Frederickson Jr., 52, of Juneau. Love was cited for failing to record eight Sweetheart Creek personal use salmon on his permit before leaving the harvest area. He was given a $210 fine out of Juneau District Court. Also on Saturday aboard the Sentry, Frederickson was cited for operating a set gillnet near the mouth of Sweetheart Creek, and taking personal use salmon downstream of Alaska Department of Fish and Game markers in a closed area. Frederickson was given $210 in fines out of Juneau District Court.

Fire and medical

• At 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Great Western Street, and she was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital.

• At 3 a.m. Wednesday, basic life support care was given to a man on Turn Street, and no transport requested.

• At 5:37 a.m. Wednesday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Lemon Street, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 2:39 p.m. Wednesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Glacier Highway, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 3:03 p.m. Wednesday, basic life support care was given to a man with lacerations on Stephen Richards Memorial Drive during an assist call. JPD had on-scene command.

• At 3:13 p.m. Wednesday, basic life support care was given to a man on Hospital Drive, and he was taken from BRH to Juneau International Airport and medevaced out.

• At 3:34 p.m. Wednesday, advanced life support care was given to a man on Egan Drive, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 3:56 p.m. Wednesday, Capital City Fire and Rescue responded to a fire alarm on Glacier Highway that was sounded due to steam cleaning equipment in operation.

• At 6:16 p.m. Wednesday, CCFR responded to a fire alarm on Third Street that was sounded due to cooking. No fire.

• At 6:16 p.m. Wednesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Shell Simmons Drive, and she was taken from JIA to BRH.

• At 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, CCFR received a good intent call regarding injuries on Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. No injured person was found or came forward.

• At 11 p.m. Wednesday, CCFR responded to a vehicle fire on Glacier Highway. Fire extinguished.

• At 11:34 p.m. Wednesday, CCFR responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on La Perouse Avenue that was sounded due to malfunction.

• At 11:53 p.m. Wednesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Douglas Highway, and she was taken to BRH.

Fraud

• At 1:42 p.m. Wednesday, a 79-year-old woman reported fraudulent activity in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 11:08 a.m. Thursday, a 59-year-old man reported damage to his parked 1996 GMC in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

Robbery

• At 8:40 a.m. Thursday, a 41-year-old man reported his iPod stolen from a 36-year-old man in the 400 block of Willoughby Avenue.

Theft

• At 3:41 p.m. Wednesday, Johanna Church, 30, was cited and released for larceny in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 7:49 p.m. Wednesday, Mason Thomas Baker, 20, was cited and released for theft of merchandise in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 10:01 a.m. Thursday, a 44-year-old man reported a GPS system valued at $1,550 was stolen off his boat in the 5700 block of Concrete Way.

Vandalism

• At 10:51 a.m. Thursday, a 32-year-old woman reported two windows of her 2003 Dodge pickup vandalized and some items were stolen in the 10100 block of Silver Street.
