An early morning Juneau flight bound for Seattle with 100 passengers on board was grounded nearly all day Wednesday. According to an airline customer service spokesperson, the plane was awaiting mechanical parts that were delivered at 4:42 p.m.
Originally scheduled for departure at 8 a.m, Flight 72 was finally given a departure time of 7 p.m., nearly 11 hours later. The airline would not specify the mechanical problem.

Why is this news?
I don't see why this is news! Alaska Airlines has mechanicals or delays all the time.
