The Juneau Police Department Crime of the Week for Aug. 24 is in reference to tire slashings.
Sgt. Paul Hatch said in a release that JPD received complaints that seven vehicles had their tires slashed while they were parked overnight on July 15.
The vehicles were parked in driveways on McGinnis and Sanders Streets in the Mendenhall Valley. Police said total damage was more than $1,100.
