Police & Fire for Thursday, September 13, 2012

Assist

• At 8:42 p.m. Tuesday, JPD assisted another agency.

Conditions violation

• At 7:54 a.m. Wednesday, a 34-year-old woman reported a domestic violence protective order violation.

Domestic violence

• At 9:02 p.m. Tuesday, a 47-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence assault, and he was taken to LCCC. Alcohol was involved.

Fire and medical

• At 12:36 a.m. Monday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Dixon Street, and she was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital.

• At 3:03 a.m. Monday, basic life support was given to a woman on Third Street, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 3:31 a.m. Monday, basic life support was given to a man on Teal Street, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 11:40 a.m. Monday, Capital City Fire and Rescue responded to a fire at the Super Bear Supermarket on Mendenhall Mall Road, and upon arrival, discovered there had been a fire in a component of a beverage cooler. A store employee had put out the fire with a portable fire extinguisher before CCFR arrived on scene. CCFR monitored the equipment until the heat dissipated. The fire had been confined to the cooler, but caused an estimated $1,000 in damage.

• At 1 p.m. Monday, CCFR responded to a fire alarm on Franklin Street, but no smoke or fire found. Units returned to service.

• At 1:16 p.m. Monday, basic life support care was given to a man on Salmon Creek Lane

• At 1:30 p.m. Monday, CCFR responded to a burn complaint on Airport Boulevard. Authorized items were being built, but there was no burn permit. The call was interrupted by an EMS call out.

• At 1:46 p.m. Monday, basic life support care was given to a child on Cascade Street, and he or she was taken to BRH.

• At 2:04 p.m. Monday, basic life support care was given to a man on 12th Street, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 2:32 p.m. Monday, CCFR returned from EMS call and continued speaking with person about unauthorized burning on Airport Boulevard. They agreed to stop burning and take remainder of items to the dump.

• At 4:19 p.m. Monday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Salmon Creek Lane, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 7:06 p.m. Monday, CCFR units were dispatched to Main Street and cancelled en route.

• At 10:46 p.m. Monday, advanced life support care was given to a man on Marine Way, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 12:57 a.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a man on Lemon Creek Road, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 1:48 a.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a man on Willoughby Avenue, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 5:40 a.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Nowell Avenue, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Glacier Highway, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Third Street, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 12:23 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR responded to an EMS call from a cruise ship on Franklin Street. Basic life support care was given to a man, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, a male patient was medevaced in and taken from Juneau International Airport to BRH.

• At 7:08 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR responded to an EMS call for a man on Franklin Street, but no patient was found or came forward.

• At 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Mendenhall Loop Road, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 11:06 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR responded to a JPD request for medical evaluation on Willoughby Avenue for a male patient, but the man did not request transport.

Fraud

• At 2:34 p.m. Tuesday, a 44-year-old man reported the theft of money from a bank account in the Juneau area.

Theft

• At 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Crystal Dawn Brazell, 28, was arrested for shoplifting in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway and on an outstanding $5,000 Sitka Police Department warrant. She was taken to LCCC.

• At 4:02 p.m. Tuesday, a 24-year-old woman reported her cell phone stolen in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.
