This stereoview photograph shows the “Indian Village on Ocean Front, Juneau City, Alaska,” by the Ingersoll View Company, circa 1900. That company, from St. Paul, Minn., produced cards with two photos on them meant to be viewed through a special viewer. This photo captures a view of what was known as ‘Indian Village’ in Juneau, with houses and canoes along the water. This coast area is now located where Willoughby Avenue runs, and the coast has been covered with mining tailings. (SHI-EBayCollection#5279072932729251266)
