Historical photo: Another view of the village

Posted: September 26, 2012 - 12:01am
This is one of two "stereoview" photographs showing the "Indian Village on Ocean Front, Juneau City, Alaska," by the Ingersoll View Company, circa 1900. The photo captures a view of what was known as 'Indian Village' in Juneau, with houses and canoes along the water. This coast area is now located where Willoughby Ave runs, and the coast has been covered with mining tailings.
