A vehicle later reported stolen struck and injured a woman at about 6:25 p.m, Saturday while she was crossing Glacier Highway at Jordan Avenue, according to the Juneau Police Department.

Police say a 50 year old woman was struck by what witnesses described as blue-colored, mid-size sport utility vehicle being driven by a female. The driver left the area.

Officers located the vehicle empty on Teal Street about 20 minutes later. The vehicle’s owner contacted police at that time to report the vehicle stolen from a parking lot in the 400 block Willoughby Avenue.

The injured woman was taken by ambulance to Bartlett Regional Hospital and released after treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
