The Juneau Police Department Crime of the Week for Oct. 19 is in reference to a theft from U.S. Forest Service property.

A Forest Service employee reported to police on Oct. 1 that someone had forced in the door of their storage shed, located at the 2100 block of Glacier Highway.

Sgt. Paul Hatch said in a release that three outboard motors were stolen — two OMC 30 horse outboard motors and an 8 horse OMC outboard motor.

Other items reported stolen were an orange Mustang suit, rain coat, hip boots, Wild MC3 stereo microscope, dry bags, camping gear, Skil circular saw, a Honda 2 stroke generator, a Honda 4 stroke generator, a Stihl chain saw, survival suit and various tools.

Anyone with information regarding this or any other crime is encouraged to log onto the Juneau Crime Line at juneaucrimeline.com and report the tip. Tipsters are guaranteed anonymity and can be rewarded.

Crime Line is a nonprofit organization composed of a cross-section of the community and is designed to aid police investigations.

No worries.

Obama can borrow more money from China, call it economic stimulus, and the agency can buy more. Since the Forest Service no longer produces timber their main reason to exist is to spend money.

Look for these items in surrounding communities.

@gdogs...

Keeping up the lies! What's it like to be a constant lying liar?

China owns about 10% of US Debt.

oopsie! Living in the Fox News/Rush/Beck bubble is HARD.

@EL BOOB...

Maybe you should try getting your info at MSNBC... It would be more accurate than what you got from the Brookings institute and I hear if you consult with Chris Matthews, it comes with a free tingle.

Or try CNBC: China is the largest foreign holder of US Debt.

@HA HA

You're correct. El_Boorba's estimate of China holding 10% of our debt is wrong.

The current number is 7.5%.

But if you listened to the likes of geedogs you'd think it was 97.5%.

Hmmm

Wonder if the police have looked into the young man that recently was caught stealing from Tesoro, western auto, the car wash.... The items stolen all sound like they could be sold for drug money. The crimes took place around the same time.

The perp in this case is an incredibly stupid individual. Stealing from the federal government is a federal crime. That means that the perp will be tried in a federal court and sentenced to a federal prison. People who are sent to federal prison usually serve out their terms of detention in their entirety. There is little, if any, chance of early release. Bad move douchebag.

@AH HA

When I was a boy I mentioned to my father that I was worried about foreign debt. [I was a weird kid] He said: "If they ever demand payment of the entire debt we can send them what we purchased with the money...nukes. In fact, we have an express delivery option."

Of course, these days I think it would be better to print a 1.7 trillion dollar bill and hand it to them.
