Disturbance

• At 11:52 p.m. Tuesday, Ernest Fawcett, 37, of Amalga Street was arrested by JPD for domestic violence assault and lodged at LCCC. Alcohol was involved.

• At 9:43 p.m. Tuesday, Charles Paul Bagoyo, 25, of David Street was arrested by JPD for domestic violence criminal mischief and lodged at LCCC. Alcohol was involved.

Fire and Medical calls

• At 3:56 a.m. Tuesday, Capital City Fire & Rescue provided basic life support care and transported a male to BRH from Davis Avenue.

• At 8:51 a.m. Tuesday, Capital City Fire & Rescue provided basic life support care and transported a male to BRH from Salmon Creek Lane.

• At 11:19 a.m. Tuesday, Capital City Fire & Rescue provided community service assistance to a female on Franklin Street.

• At 11:55 a.m. Tuesday, Capital City Fire & Rescue provided advanced life support care and transport to BRH for a female on Glacier Highway.

• At 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Capital City Fire & Rescue provided advanced life support aid for a female and took her to Bartlett Regional Hospital from Twelfth Street.

• At 6:35p.m. Tuesday, Capital City Fire & Rescue provided advanced life support care and transport to BRH for a female on Airport Boulevard.

• At 7:58 p.m. Tuesday, Capital City Fire & Rescue provided basic life support care and transported a female to BRH from Glacier Highway.

• At 8:39 p.m. Tuesday, Capital City Fire & Rescue provided transport to a female on Distin Avenue.

Found Property

• At 9:58 p.m. Tuesday, a found backpack was turned into the JPD and placed into safekeeping.

Lost Property

• At 10:19 p.m. Tuesday, a 55-year-old male reported a lost IPad on Shell Simmons Dr.

This Day in Juneau History: Jan. 19, 1987

On Jan. 19, 1987, with revenues half of what they were the year before and an estimated budget deficit ranging from $700-$900 million, the 15th Alaska Legislature began working on the state’s enormous budget deficit. Everyone was present for the Legislature’s first day except for Sen. Frank Ferguson, D-Kotzebue, who resigned shortly after his election because of health problems. Taking his place was Kotzebue businessman and Native leader Willie Hensley, whom Gov. Steve Cowper appointed for the position until the 1988 elections.
