Fred Shewey

In case anyone is interested, Fred Shewey has been back in jail for about a week. Long time Alaskans might remember his case. Back in 1978, Shewey kidnapped and tried to rape a 9-year-old girl out in Ketchikan. He then murdered her. Because of his age and other factors, he received only a 15 year sentence.

He got picked up about a week ago, after creating a disturbance at the building he was living in. He currently remains in Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
