The day after Thanksgiving is known as the day when brave masses find the best shopping deals. However, where many small businesses are traditionally overlooked in the seasonal mad rush, this year Black Friday will be followed by Small Business Saturday.
That’s right, the day after Black Friday and before online shopping takes off on Cyber Monday, shoppers can find holiday gifts and services from local small businesses on Nov. 24.
“… a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities,” according to the Small Business Association.
American Express kicked off the idea of a holiday shopping day for small businesses in 2010.
