After deliberating less than two hours, a jury has found Joseph Randy Dennis, 27, not guilty on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor.

The case against a man accused of sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl on New Year’s Eve 2011 is now in the hands of 12 jurors.
Attorneys in the case against Joseph Randy Dennis, 27, made closing arguments after the defense rested on Wednesday.
The jury broke to deliberate at about 2:35 p.m. and will continue to deliberate until 5 p.m.
If no verdict is reached, the jurors will have Thanksgiving off and will reconvene Friday morning.
Dennis is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor for allegedly digitally penetrating the girl, whose name is being withheld. Dennis was the live-in boyfriend of the girl’s mother.
