Well stewie;

Rather than call it crap why not refute it? As I understand it, when they fall off the rolls they cease to be counted as "Unemployed"

Of course, it's not something Obama started. His guilt is just that he has continued the practice.

Not crap.

The unemployment rate is calculated by the number of UI claimants actually receiving benefits. When a claimant runs out of the maximum benefits allowed by the monetary determination of his yearly claim, politicians report a "created job". If the claimant qualifies for extended benefits, he remains on the unemployed rolls. I know people who never file UI claims when they are out of work. Either they don't qualify due to self employment status or other disqualifiers or they don't file due to pride. They are unemployed, none the less. They are not, however, reported as unemployed.

What those figures dont

What those figures dont account for is that if you were a CEO making 200k, get laid off and get a job as a walmart greeter, you are no longer unemployed.
