JPD Crime of the Week is storage unit burglary, theft

The Juneau Police Department Crime of the Week is in reference to a burglary and theft at Juneau Self-Storage.

 

Sgt. Paul Hatch said in a release that a 44-year-old woman reported her storage unit had been broken into on Nov. 5. The storage unit is located at the company’s Jordan Creek location, 2345 Jordan Ave., in the Mendenhall Valley.

The release states an investigation revealed the storage unit was forcefully opened, and about $550 worth of items were stolen.

Some of those items include a new white Singer sewing machine, 32 crystal Waterford drinking glasses and various silver clam shell shaped jewelry display stands.
