A Juneau grand jury issued one indictment on Friday.
David F. Thomas, 59, was charged with a single count of felony driving under the influence.
That’s a class ‘C’ felony punishable by up to five years in prison and/or a $50,000 fine.
The indictment alleges Thomas has two prior convictions of a similar offense in the past 10 years.
Thomas is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Juneau Superior Court before Judge Philip Pallenberg.
Indictments are formal accusations of illegal activity, and they are not indicative of guilt.
The District Attorney’s Office presents cases to the grand jury each Friday.
