Southeast Alaska Realtors have given their peer Nancy Davis top honors as Realtor of the Year.
Sitka-based Davis worked in banking for over 30 years before earning her Realtor license in 1998. Davis opened brokerage under her name, Davis Realty, in May of 2001.
Davis received her honor from the Southeast Alaska Board of Realtors. A board committee reviews nominees with consideration for civic involvement and participation in local and state committees.
“They also consider the member’s Realtor spirit and business accomplishments,” according to a board press release.
Davis is currently vice chair of the Alaska Real Estate Commission and is a member of National Association of Realtors . She is the 2004 Recipient of the Sitka Chamber of Commerce Cossack Cap Award and is a member and past President of the Sitka Chamber of Commerce.
Davis previously served on the Alaska Airlines Community Advisory Board and the board of Sawmill Creek Industrial Park.

What does an accomplished businesswoman who has made valuable contributions to Southeast Alaska, especially the community of Sitka, have in common with a embarrassing mess like Honey Boo Boo. Please explain your comment. If it was intended as sarcasm, it missed the mark.
