The police are seeking information regarding two car riflings and thefts for this week’s Crime of the Week.
Sgt. Paul Hatch said in a release that on Dec. 15 at about 3:30 a.m., a man called the Juneau Police Department to report his unlocked car had been entered while it was parked in the 100 block of Seward Street sometime in the past six hours. A Kenwood car stereo was taken from the dash board.
Additionally, another man reported his unlocked vehicle was entered during the same time frame, items were taken while it was parked in the same general area. The stolen items included a snow board and two car speakers manufactured by Alpine. The snow board was later recovered.
