Senate Pages Matt Simpson, left, and Ilina Saucedo greet arriving legislators to the Senate Chambers wearing their new kuspuks, a traditional Eskimo garment, at the Capitol on Friday. “Kuspuk Friday” has become a new tradition with Senate staff and many women legislators of both Houses also donning the colorful, lightweight parkas.

Just curious, were the garments donated or purchased with State funds?
This is not a new tradition.
This is not a new tradition. It began years ago with Rep. Mary Kapsner and has continued on after she left. In all the years Kuspuk Friday's have been happening, I have never seen the state actually buying the clothing. Everybody brought their own, borrowed, etc.
Kuspuk Friday
Those friends that I know in the Capitol buy their own.
Just saying....
If the State's buying, I want one!
