Grand jury indicts 7

Seven people were indicted by a grand jury in Juneau on Friday:

 

• Delancey L. Youngblut, 37, was indicted on two felony counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree for engaging in sexual contact with a person under 16 years old. Court records show a $20,000 warrant was issued for his arrest.

• Amante R.L. Frazier-Reese, 18, and Alexander Jay Netling, 18, were each indicted on one felony count of second-degree escape for leaving the Johnson Youth Center on Jan. 25.

• Justin T. Brokken, 26, was indicted on one felony count of second-degree escape for removing himself from official detention on Jan. 9.

• Benjamin L. Grafton, 36, was indicted on one felony count of second-degree forgery for making or possessing, with intent to defraud, a check payable to himself bearing the purported signature of Gloriana Tonsgard in the amount of $130.78, drawn at First Bank.

• Sara E. Elmer, 33, was indicted on one felony count of third-degree drug misconduct for possessing cocaine with intent to deliver on Jan. 17, as well as three felony counts of fourth-degree drug misconduct for possessing cocaine and 25 or more tablets of clonazapam, diazepam and alprazolam, with intent to deliver, on the same date.

• Adam B. Calhoun, 25, was indicted on one felony count of failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer in the first degree for conduct alleged on Nov. 4.

Indictments are formal accusations of illegal activity, and they are not indicative of guilt. The District Attorney’s Office in Juneau presents cases to the grand jury each Friday.
