I still think it was tasteless---And yes, it seems like so much partisan theater. OK maybe the organizers just weren't thinking, but if they were, then yeah, that's rubbing our noses in a few national tragedies; the firemen killings and Aurora too. I wonder if anyone had the gall to hold a ".223 Day of Resistance Rally" in Newtown?
Also I think that 5 years of alarmist proclamations from the far right about Obama have sort of dulled me to the gun-lobby rhetoric right now---It's obvious you guys are very afraid of a great many things having to do with the guy, but I think you're over-reacting. You're starting to sound shrill. The right seems FAR more impressed with Obama than the left.
And lets be clear---I don't think gun bans are the solution, and I'm not arguing for them. As a gun owner I value my second amendment rights. Nor do I particularly care for Obama.
Where were you guys when the Patriot Act was in the offing, and the Dept. of Homeland Security was mushrooming over government agencies? It seems to me like the right was all about the Security State when it was your guy at the helm---Now it's a limp-wristed dem and you're treating him like the reincarnation of Adolph Hitler.
As far as condoms go, it's a public health issue and a good investment
Just an FYI - your earlier post was probably removed due to having outside links. Apparently they don't allow outside links anymore - they sent me a warning the other day for posting a link, and then an "oops" when they realized it was a link to an Empire story. Anyway - the warning said outside links were not allowed.......
