PSA: Traffic closures for 3/28

Traffic will be closed in some parts of the downtown area for the Alaskans Choose Respect march hosted by the Office of the Governor next Thursday, March 28.

The Juneau Police Department said in a release that Fourth Street between Main and Seward Streets will be closed to traffic from 11:45 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. At 12:20 p.m., participants will begin the march turning left onto Main Street from Fourth Street.

Walkers and motorcyclists will be occupying the width of the street on the following route: Main Street to Front Streetand Front Street to Seward Street.

The march will conclude at approximately 1 p.m.

Police say to expect significant traffic delays during the march.

Fourth Street, Main Street, Third Street, Second Street, Seward Street, Front Street and Shattuck Way will be closed alternately for up to 30 minutes.
