Car stereo equipment theft is 'Crime of the week'

The police and the Juneau Crime Line are seeking the public’s help in identifying the unknown person(s) who stole $2,000 worth of items from an unlocked vehicle near 2012 Lemon Creek Road last month.

Juneau Police Department Det. Krag Campbell said in a release that the theft occurred sometime between the hours of 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on March 4.

The culprit(s) made off with a car stereo player, a DVD/CD player and speakers, as well as cordless hand tools.

Anyone with information regarding this or any other crime is encouraged to log onto the Juneau Crime Line at and report the tip. Tipsters are guaranteed anonymity and can be rewarded.
