The annual Slush Cup at Eaglecrest will be held on Sunday, April 14. The Slush Cup competition will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday with registration taking place in the Day Lodge from 9-10 a.m.
The theme for this year’s Slush Cup is “Spring Fling” and participants will attempt to ski or snowboard across the pond filled with frozen slush. Contestants will be judged on style, distance across the pond and best of theme costume. All contestants must be registered by 10 a.m. on Sunday. Registration fees are $10 for participants 18 and older and $5 for 10-17-year-olds. The event promises to be as much fun for spectators as for participants, sure to elicit laughs and cheers.
The Slush Cup was originally scheduled for Saturday but technical difficulties with the pond forced the event to be postponed to Sunday.
Eaglecrest will close for the season on Sunday, April 14. Lifts will operate from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. For more information check out www.skijuneau.com.
