The Airport Board approved hikes to rates and fees at the airport that would go into effect next month or over the next fiscal year, respectively. The hikes will affect a litany of services including lease and parking/landing fees.
The proposed changes will go before the Assembly at its June meeting.
Per the airport architect report presented to the Board, an expanded live music program will start in June at the airport in collaboration with the Arts and Humanities Council called “Music on the Fly.”
The goal of the program series is to “set a positive tone for Juneau as Alaska’s creative capital” and “uplift and soothe travelers as they begin or end their journeys,” per a memo regarding the terminal renovation project.
