Stolen firearm is 'Crime of the Week'

A stolen firearm is this week’s ‘Crime of the Week’ spotlighted by the Juneau Police Department and the Juneau Crime Line.

Sgt. Scott Erickson said in a release that on Jan. 8, that JPD received a report of the theft of a 375 H&H caliber rifle taken from a residence in the 17000 block of Lena Loop Road.

The victim reported the weapon was taken from his residence sometime between April and May 2012. He did not notice it was missing until January 2013, the release stated.

Anyone with information regarding this, or any other crime, is encouraged to log onto the Juneau Crime Line at and report the tip. Tipsters are guaranteed anonymity and can be rewarded.

JPD and the Crime Line highlight a “Crime of the Week” each Friday to aid police investigations. The Crime Line is a nonprofit organization.
